1. FISHMEAL

A. Import Statistics:
- Jan - April 2107: 449,613 mt (avg US$1,457/mt CIF) including 320,000 mt ex Peru.
- April 2017- 158,627 mt
- Jan- April 2016:  282,559 mt
- Jan-Dec 2016: 1.03 millions tons (annual avg. 1554/mt CIF)

B. Chinese Market Today: 

- Per CFO investigation, Peru sold closed to 500,000mt 

- inventory at China main ports at this moment 167,000 mt about. 
- Chinese market is somehow pretty bearish due to large lower cost 
(US$1400-1450) FM is arriving in July/Aug.
- Fishing ban in China from 1st of May to Mid-end Aug
- Indication: Super prime RMB 10,200/mt level


2. Meat and Bone Meal 45% & 50%
A. Import Statistics:

-  Jan-April 2017: 32,300 mt ( Avg CIF US$472/mt ) including April 8,535 mt

-  Jan-April 2016:  26,640  mt 

- Total import in 2016: 83,606 mt  (annual Avg. US$407/mt CIF)

B. Chinese Market Today: 

- MBM market is slowing down mainly due to weak SBM. 

- SBM basically is over supply in Jun/July, market is declining.

- Indication RMB 2650-2750/mt level from RMB 3000/mt in a month

- Formula started changing when MBM price over US$500/mt level,
especially Fishmeal is cheaper as well.




3. Poultry Meal 65% (mainly from USA)

A. Import Statistics:

- Jan-April 2017: 55,547 mt  (Avg. CIF US$846/mt ) including April 13,127 mt

- Jan-April 2016: 42,510 mt
- Jan- Dec 2016: 141,371 mt  (annual avg US$840/mt CIF)


B. Chinese Market Today: 

-  Poultry meal domestic sales is moving much slower entering Jun mainly due to weak fishmeal and expecting FM price will be further lower when large quantity of low cost meal arrived China in July/Aug.
-  Indication RMB 7400-7600/mt depending on brand and quality.

4. Canola (mainly from Canada)
- Jan-April 2017: 1.70 millions tons (avg CIF US$450/mt) including April 454,054 mt

- Jan-Dec 2016: 3.565 millions tons ( annual avg US$418/mt CIF)

5. Canola Meal
- Major consumption of Canola meal in China is for aquaculture.

- Indication: US$ 2380/mt which is slightly lower in comparison late April/early May (RMB 2460/mt level)
- Canola meal market is moving steady but a bit lower due to very weak SBM squeezing Canola meal price improvement.
