Comments:
Soybean meal: soybean supply is sufficient caused SBM RMB cash market is moving at softer tendency.
Canola meal: major consumption in aquatic feed is getting declining in winter season. Overall demand is weak.
Fishmeal: inventory at China main port remain high and demand is weak and sales transaction is limited.
Important Notice:
New fishmeal standard GB/T 19164-2021 announced on 18 Oct 2021 and to be effective from 1st of May 2022.
We listed the major points which you need to be alert as below:
Major changes -
A) WHITE FISHMEAL
a) 4 new index
- Total amount of 17 kinds of animo-acid / crude protein : 90% min
- Glycine/total 17 kinds of animo acids (NOT for grade III) : 9% max
- Ratio of sum of DHA & EPA to the total fatty aide of fishmeal : 18% min
- Malondialdehyde (Based on the content of Crude Fat) : 20 mg/kg max
b) Tighten requirements in Grade II :
- Protein: 58% min
- Lysine: 4.2% min
- Sand: 0.4% max
- Salt: 2.5 % max
- TVBN: 70 mg/100g max
- Histamine : 25 mg/kg max
B) RED FISHMEAL (Whole Fish) :
a) 4 new index
- Total amount of 17 kinds of animo-acid / crude protein : 83% min
- Glycine/ total 17 kinds of animo acids (NOT for grade III) : no requirement (8% max for super to grade II)
- Ratio of sum of DHA & EPA to the total fatty aide of fishmeal : 18% min
- Malondialdehyde (Based on the content of Crude Fat) : 30 mg/kg max
b) Relax requirements in grade III:
- Protein 50% (including fish & shrimp mixed)
- Lysine: 3% min
- Ash: 30% max
- Salt: 5% max
- TVBN: 200 mg/100g max
C) BY-PRODUCT
For protein level lower than 50% (45% min) produced from fish by-product is defined as new category of by-product fishmeal.
This is including ocean catching and others fish.
REMARK:
Crude fat, Methionine, pepsin digestibility and Acid value are removed from the compulsory index
Overall, red fishmeal requirement in terms of specification is relaxed and a new category by-product fishmeal is defined if protein level at 50-45% min.
However, white fishmeal % of index is tighten in particular about freshness, lysine..etc.
