2) Today’s Price Indication (23 October 2024)

Today Comments:
The Peruvian Production Ministry (PRODUCE) officially announced the second fishing season in central and northern region will start on 1st Nov 2024 local time. The anchovy fishing quota season B is 2.51 million tons which is higher than previous seasons (2.283 million in 2022; and 1.682 million tons in 2023).   

Chinese Domestic aquaculture demand has declined, and fishmeal transactions are quiet. Although fishmeal inventory at China main ports have slowly declined, but Still in the historically high range, the fishmeal Chinese RMB cash market continues to be under pressure. During the winter time and with higher quota, foresee fishmeal Chinese market shall continue weak by end of the year.
