Except for ever rallying soymeal, all prices drifted a little lower this week. Soymeal was up again by about USD 15 to 20 m/t for end of 2023 shipment but not up as much going into 2024. Corn export prices moved lower by about USD 6 m/t with soybeans also a little lower by USD 2 m/t for 2023 positions. USA winter wheat was down about USD 4 m/t for soft red and USD 8 m/t for hard red with spring wheat down by about USD 5 m/t........please click PDF to see more details

It was no surprise that, after moving higher and higher all week, US soybeans and soymeal both had a weaker day on Friday. Soymeal prices have increased on 8 of the last 10 trading days. While the market doesn’t look much like moving lower many experts can’t understand why soybeans and soymeal are so strong. USDA WASDE report week always tends to be quite exciting. Corn numbers were a little bullish but not enough to push US corn prices higher. The corn week ended with prices steady.
