I. FISHMEAL / FISH Oil SECTION

[PERU] For 2nd anchovy season, the fishing status till Dec 26, 2019 is as below: Total Catching: 961,518 tons Quota Accomplished: 34.51% Daily Caught: 21,853 tons *There’s no fishing activity since Dec 20 due to high incidence of juveniles and ban. |
Brief China RMB Cash Market:
Cash trend of China fishmeal has been keeping uptrend at Shanghai port during the week. The recent 10-day-long fishing ban due to high incidence of juveniles in North-central area of Peru has already resulted in an apparent uptrend in RMB fishmeal market.
The existing bottom range at Shanghai port would be RMB11,000/ton, but that could climb up to RMB11,200-11,500/ton or even higher if the actual incidence of juveniles remain high enough to slow down the fishing.
Such uptrend in RMB would be measurably lasting for more weeks till fishing in Peru returns to track. However, Chinese fishmeal importers would imminently lift up the bidding range at China main ports for sure while fishing keeps uncertain.

FM Comments:
RMB Market: CFO measures RMB cash trend would be keeping uptrend for more weeks due to uncertain fishing in Peru and the reducing fishmeal stockpiles at China ports. The bottom range would be climbing up to RMB11,200-11,500/ton once juveniles remain high after the 10-day-long fishing ban in Peru.
In additions, as of CFO records, the less fishmeal cargoes unloaded at China ports in December, the more opportunities RMB movement would go strong in Q1. And, going with the slowing down anchovy fishing, RMB cash trend would be fully benefitted from lack supply of fishmeal products during Q1.
