4) China Feed Production September 2023

Comment:
Fishmeal : Peruvian super steam fish meal (new season) indication is at about CNF2250/ton level. In China, domestic fishmeal market has entered the off-season for aquatic product consumption. The demand for fishmeal is limited and market transactions are poor.

As for Chinese produced fishmeal has fallen, 63% protein TVN150 in Rongcheng, Shandong (Major local fishmeal production port) is RMB13,200/mt.

Soybean Meal: Since the end of August, 43% protein SBM has begun a downward trend. As of October 23, it is RMB780/mt lower than the previous high at the end of August, a decrease of 15.5%. Chinese are expecting the SBM Will be further dropped to RMB4000/mt level. 

Animal protein (MBM): In considering of low season at year end, Chinese prefer to book Australia origin of MBM due to short voyage and lower cost in tax. It is recorded over 4600mt imported in Sept 2023.
